A Note About Shipping Fees:

In the past, I have been trying to give Canadian buyers a break in shipping costs, when purchasing small items like one skein of embroidery thread or one pair of teddy bear eyes, by using Canada Post Oversized Lettermail. However, there is no tracking number or insurance available for these items. Etsy has now introduced a policy in which they insist upon having a tracking number for all orders. My account, and the accounts of many other Star Sellers, was recently put on "restriction" for three months simply because of my policy of trying to help Canadian buyers to save a little money on shipping costs. Sadly, I now have no choice but to charge all Canadian buyers for Canada Post Expedited Parcel for all orders. Please contact me to find out about possible alternatives and/or lower shipping costs for your postal code. Customers who live in or around Ottawa, Ontario may arrange to pick up their orders in person, by appointment only, after 4 pm. There is a $5.00 fee for curbside pickups.

For my Etsy shop, I have to estimate the shipping charges for Canadian orders. I'm sorry to say that Canada Post rates can actually cost up to $20.00 or more for standard parcel rates, even for a small item. Their rates vary, depending on your postal code, so it can be very expensive to send a package to British Columbia or the Maritime Provinces. I have capped my shipping rates at $18.00 for the first item purchased, in an effort to help my customers with their shipping costs. I also offer combined shipping discounts, so it would save you money if you were purchasing more than one item. If the actual shipping cost turns out to be significantly less than the amount you were charged, I will issue a partial refund to you. If you would like to send me your mailing address with postal code I can tell you what the exact shipping rate will be.

For American or International customers, my standard shipping method is Canada Post Tracked Packet (where available), so you will always have a tracking number for your order. If you want to upgrade your shipping method to Expedited Parcel or Express Post I will need a daytime telephone number to include on your shipping label. These items can not be shipped outside of Canada without a telephone number. If you do not provide me with a telephone number, it will result in unnecessary delays in shipping your order.

Just a reminder, as indicated in my Shop Policies, buyers are responsible for any customs and import taxes that may apply. I am not responsible for delays due to customs.

PLEASE NOTE: As Etsy has been making the cost of doing business for sellers increasingly prohibitive, I will be removing many of my items from my Etsy shop and transferring them to my other websites. You will find teddy bear making supplies, needlework supplies, crochet cotton and other craft supplies, and the prices will be a bit lower as well.

We will cheerfully accept returns or exchanges if for any reason you are not happy with your purchase.

Items can be returned for exchange or a full refund in the amount of your purchase price, less shipping and handling fees.

The item must be returned prepaid, insured, in original condition and packaging within thirty (30) days of receipt of your item.

Refunds are processed within 10 days of receipt of the returned items.
